The Saskatoon Highland Dancing Association offers three different categories of membership:

- Full Membership: For competing dancers and their families, residing in or near Saskatoon or primarily taught by a teacher member. Benefits include subsidized competition and workshop fees, regular newsletters, travel subsidies, and more. Recent benefits have included outfit and shoe subsidies, rolling garment bags, and jackets. Full members participate in fund-raising activities, dance-outs, and Folkfest volunteering at the end of the season, as well as having a vote at association meetings.
- Benefits include subsidized competition and workshop fees, regular newsletters, travel subsidies, and more.
- Fees: $75 for one dancer, and $15 for each additional dancer
- Folk Fest volunteer commitments for 2023/24 are: 20 hours per full membership
- Full Members are required to submit a $300.00 post-dated cheque for August 1, 2023
- Late fee of $50 for renewing members after November 1, 2023
- Teacher Membership: Open to teachers of SHDA members or non-practicing teachers in the Saskatoon area. Teachers who participate in fund-raising activities are accorded the benefits of a Full Member.
- Fees: $5 per year
- Fundraising Teacher members are required to submit a $300.00 post-dated cheque for August 1, 20233
- If a fundraising member, hours are the same as a full member
- Associate Membership: For dancers who do not compete and anyone who wishes to support the SHDA, residing in or near Saskatoon. Associates receive our regular newsletter and may participate in membership events. Dancers in this category are invited to participate in dance-outs.
- Fees: $25 for one or more dancers
- Folk Fest volunteer commitments for 2023/24 are: 10 hours per membership
- Associate members who compete, are not eligible for subsidized competition registration and workshop fees
- Associate Members are required to submit a $150.00 post-dated cheque for August 1,2023
- Late fee of $50 for renewing members after November 1, 2023
